Julie Coy & Grant Maniér

Meet Grant and Julie, an extraordinary mother-son duo whose remarkable journey epitomizes resilience and triumph. Julie has been Grant's unwavering support through his diagnosis of autism at age 6. Despite the challenges, Grant, now 27 years old, flourished into an award-winning artist, public speaker, voice-actor and illustrator, co-authoring impactful books about disabilities. Transitioning into adulthood, he attends college in Wisconsin and found a career at Treffert Studios, teaching filming/editing to neurodiverse individuals. In 2022, their lives came to a complete halt when Grant battled cancer, during which their future was uncertain. Yet, they defied the odds, emerging victorious. His declaration, "My autism doesn't define me; I define it with my talents and skills," encapsulates his empowering perspective. Their awe-inspiring journey is a testament to resilience and hope, truly a remarkable comeback story.

Hear both Julie and Grant acknowledge that their journey together has been inseparable; one without the other couldn't have made this remarkable story possible.
