Dr. Randall Marshall, MD

Dr. Marshall brings 25+ years of experience across all aspects of clinical research including translational, Phase 1-3, and post-marketing studies in academia, startup, and mid-sized bio pharmaceutical companies. In biotech, Dr. Marshall has developed and led programs across multiple CNS neurological and psychiatric disorders, and in hepatology and pediatric oncology indications. Most recently, Dr. Marshall co-founded ProTaraTherapeutics as Chief Medical Officer, a clinical-stage company developing treatments for a range of indications including rare pediatric disease. Prior to that, he held medical leadership roles of increasing responsibility at Sepracor, Sunovion, Euthymics, Neurovance, and Retrophin.

Dr. Marshall earned his MD at Johns Hopkins University and completed his Psychiatry residence at Columbia University, where he attained Associate Professor before leaving to pursue therapeutics research in biotechnology. At Columbia, he was PI, Co-PI, orAdvisor to ~30 research grants funded through NIH, nonprofits and industry, and he has published more than 130 peer-reviewed publications and books in his area of of expertise.
