Dr. Ross W. Greene is a clinical psychologist and the originator of the Collaborative & Proactive Solutions (CPS), an evidence-based approach described in his books The Explosive Child, Lost at School, Lost & Found, and Raising Human Beings, and his upcoming title, The Kids Who Aren’t Okay. He also executive-produced the award-winning documentary film The Kids We Lose (2018).
Dr. Greene spent over 20 years at Harvard Medical School and founded a non-profit, Lives in the Balance, in 2009, which provides free CPS resources and advocates for children with concerning behaviors and their caregivers. He is also currently an adjunct Professor in the Department of Psychology at Virginia Tech and in the Faculty of Science at the University of Technology Sydney.
His work supported several thousand children and families and has been implemented across schools, psychiatric units, and juvenile facilities, leading to reduced disciplinary actions, recidivism, and use of restraint. Dr. Greene lectures throughout the world and lives in Freeport, Maine
