Alyssa Schienbein M.ED

Alyssa Schienbein works with people who have exceptionalities. Exceptionalities is another word for special needs, and encompasses cognitive and physical needs. From anxiety to Down syndrome to cerebral palsy to trauma, she is versed and continually learning. It is her goal to help you and your child by providing fun, engaging, and educational activities that help target lagging skills. She will create an inclusive and welcoming environment and strive to provide top quality education to all children in her programs.

As an educator she specializes in creating unique learning opportunities to enhance important skills like literacy, numeracy, motor skills and movement. In addition to working as an elementary school teacher, she has spent the last 9 years working with many people with exceptionalities ranging from ages 4 to 84. As a care aide and respite worker, she has been able to connect on a personal and professional level, always gaining increased admiration and understanding with each new person she works with. She currently teaches for the Lloydminster Catholic School Division. She has a Bachelor of Education, a Special Education Certification and has completed her Masters of Special Education and Educational Psychology from the University of Saskatchewan.
