Maggie McGarvie

Maggie McGarvie is a pediatric speech-language pathologist with 17 years of experience and 13 years as a mother, bringing both clinical expertise and real-life perspective to her work. She works full-time in an integrated preschool setting, supporting young learners with diverse communication needs.

She is passionate about helping autistic children find their voice through speech, visuals, AAC, or any method that works best for each child, grounded in the belief that communication is a fundamental right.

Her work extends beyond direct therapy, supporting the whole child across all environments and helping educators and caregivers better understand the connections between sensory needs, language, play, and behavior.

She empowers families with practical, evidence-informed strategies, shares free educational content, and provides training for parents, educators, and professionals, both virtually and in person.
